There are roughly 4.5 million licensed Tennessee drivers, and Tennessee has a substantial interstate system comprised of I-65, I-40, I-24, I-75, I-81, I-55, I-26 and many others. Overton County was 88th in alcohol-related fatal crashes and 87th in alcohol-related injury crashes. The speeding crash rate was 55th. Young drivers (ages 15 to 24) had a crash rate of 48th and senior drivers (ages 65+) had a crash rate of 44th.

Will I Have To Go To Court?
We understand no one wants to go to court, so we try to settle your case if it can be done for a fair and reasonable amount. But if the defendant or the insurance company does not want to be fair, we will not hesitate to take them to court.

In Overton County, for the 2010-2011 reporting period, only 19 tort cases (claims for personal injury or wrongful death) were filed. During that same time, only one case went to trial and the injured party did not win. For the 2011-2012 reporting period, 14 tort cases were filed in Overton County and not a single case went to trial. During the 2012-2013 reporting period, 19 tort cases were filed in Overton County, but zero tort cases were actually tried. In 2013-2014, 15 tort cases were filed but again none went to trial. In 2014-2015, only three tort cases were filed and, for the fourth year in a row, none were tried. During 2015-2016 13 tort cases were filed, but none went to trial. For 2016-2017, 24 tort cases were filed but none were tried. In 2017-2018, 17 tort cases were filed and none were tried. Finally, last year, 13 tort cases were filed and, for the eight year in a row, none were tried. The last year referenced for this data is the 2018-2019 reporting period.
