Car Accident Cases in Moore County
Motor vehicle accidents are one of the most common type of injury cases our office handles. Moore County Judges and Court Information
If we have to file suit to protect your rights, Moore County is located within the 17th Judicial District, which also includes Bedford, Lincoln and Marshall counties. The following individuals are judges in the 17th Judicial District:
The 17th Judicial District has established Local Rules that govern the day to day operations of the court including such things as the issuance of subpoenas, setting cases for trial, etc. A copy of the Local Rules can be reviewed here.
For the 2011-2012 reporting period, only 2 tort cases (claims for personal injury or wrongful death) were filed in Moore County. A single tort case was tried, and the injured party lost that trial. In 2012-2013, only one tort case was filed in Moore County and zero cases were tried. In 2013-2014, not a single tort case was even filed in Moore County. In 2014-2015, again only one tort case was filed and none were tried. In 2015-2016 no cases were filed or brought to trial. For 2016-2017, only two cases were filed but none were tried. During 2017-2018, three cases were filed and zero tried. Last year, four cases were filed but again none were tried. The last year referenced for this data is the 2018-2019 reporting period.
